Biography

I grew up in Albuquerque and completed my undergraduate education at UNM. After having spent most of my life in NM, I left for about ten years following different pursuits. I have lived on the west coast (LA), the east coast (Baltimore), the Midwest (Chicago), and in Las Vegas, NV. I value living in and experiencing different places, but Albuquerque is where I wanted to settle down. I love running in the foothills, road biking, and the daily hikes that our wonderful weather allows. Professionally, I have enjoyed working at UNM. The various locations in the hospital—the emergency room, the Trauma/Surgical/Burn ICU, and the Neurosciences ICU—allow me to have variety in my day-to-day routine. We have an amazing faculty here at UNM. We also recruit unique and interesting residents. It is a gratifying part of my career to watch our residents and medical students progress from year to year. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my two children. We relish being outside year round and taking road trips in our RV “little guy”.
