I was born in Brooklyn, New York. After college, I went to medical school at the University of Nebraska. In 1988, I came to New Mexico for my residency and fell in love with the mountains and the culture. I never left. I raised three children (all boys, now 26, 24, and 18) and was guardian for a 4th boy, who is now 24. I guess I like boys!
I spent most of my career as an Emergency Medicine physician but for the last five years have been tackling administrative positions. As Chief Medical Officer of University of New Mexico Hospitals, I am excited to create transformative changes to help us take excellent care of our patients.
