Biography

I became an EMT in 1999, and then a firefighter while completing a BS in Emergency Medicine (EMS) from UNM in 2006. I came to the EMS Academy in 2009 after working as an ambulance paramedic and critical care flight paramedic. At the EMS Academy, I have taught EMT-Basic, EMT-Basic and EMT-Intermediate Labs, pediatric specialty courses including pediatric critical care, and taught for our USAF Pararescue contract courses. Currently, I teach laboratory courses for our main side paramedic program and lead our medical simulation activities.
