Biography

After working as a marine biologist, I obtained my medical degree. Following my residency, I moved to Arizona and worked in community emergency medicine. While in Arizona, I completed basic SWAT school and became the medical director of a local police SWAT team. I then moved to a small town in Upstate New York and continued my career in community emergency medicine. Since joining the faculty at UNM I have continued with community emergency medicine in the role of Medical Director at UNM's community hospital, Sandoval Regional Medical Center. In my spare time I have a sports photography business, working as a freelancer and for CBS Sports. I enjoy traveling to beautiful places to take photographs and I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids.
