Biography

Originally from Florida, I headed to the northeast for college. Afterwards I spent several years living in Massachusetts working in education and public health before deciding to go to medical school. I first came to UNM for residency—I was drawn here for many reasons including terrific colleagues, an institutional commitment to public health, and because New Mexico seemed like a great place to live. At the end of residency, I stayed on as faculty for many of the same reasons! Plus, I now actually enjoy green chile. Outside of the hospital I love to spend time outdoors, dance (any kind!), and travel (usually to places near large bodies of water).
