Biography

I grew up in Kansas, and didn’t leave the state until I graduated from medical school. I completed my residency in Emergency Medicine (and worked as a Flight Physician in Helicopter EMS) at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in 2014, then completed a 2 year, multidisciplinary fellowship (about 1/3 Medical ICU, 1/3 Surgical ICU, and 1/3 Cardiothoracic ICU) in Critical Care in at Washington University in St. Louis in 2016. I am now board-certified in Emergency Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and a Testamur in Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography.

I came to UNM because it’s a great place to practice both emergency medicine and critical care with an awesome group of faculty and staff. As a bonus, the people of New Mexico are some of the nicest I have been around, and Albuquerque is an outdoorsman’s dream!
