Disaster Medicine Fellowship, Johns Hopkins University

I came to UNM in 2011 to pursue my interests in prehospital and disaster medicine, as well as to continue my first love of teaching residents and students in an academic medical center. I work as part of the EMS Consortium and have had the opportunity to provide medical direction for area EMS agencies. In 2013, we started a Tactical Medical Team to provide paramedic and physician level support for law enforcement operations within the state. I have also had the pleasure of serving on the New Mexico-1 DMAT team and co-teach a fourth year medical student rotation in Disaster and Austere Medicine. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and taking advantage of the many sunny days in New Mexico hiking, running, camping and skiing.
