Residency: Resident Physician in Emergency Medicine, University of New Mexico, 1995-1998

I am originally from Seattle and moved to New Mexico for my residency in 1995. Since joining the faculty in 1998, I have been primarily involved with the educational missions of the department as clerkship director and residency program director. My other roles at UNM have included Assistant Dean for Simulation and Associate Dean for CME. In 2012 I was very fortunate to be offered the position as Chair of the Department. It is the best job in the world! I am married and have three kids who are in middle and high school. As a family we love traveling, going to the gym, spending time outdoors hiking, running, snowboarding, and playing soccer or tennis.
